Demova Frost Peters ("Deedee") of Ashburn, Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on August 26th, 2016. Born in 1934 in Washington, DC, Deedee was the youngest daughter of Norman and Demova Frost of Washington, DC, and sister to Betty Hayes and Norma Hurley. She was a graduate of The National Cathedral School in Washington, DC, and attended Stephens Women's College in Columbia, Missouri. In 1952, Deedee was married to Rex Peters (Princeton, Class of 1946), who was her beloved husband for 56 years.

She leaves behind her beloved family, Barbara Riley, Rex and Cathy Peters, Michael and Cathy Peters, Deedee and Chris Wilson, brother and sister-in-law John and Carol Duncan, and grandchildren, Ben and Joe Peters, Lee Shields, Catherine, Christopher and Charles Wilson, Sarah Marsh, Lindsey Peters, and great-grandchildren Henry and Elliott Shields, and Harper Lynn Wilson.

Deedee was a loving wife, mother, and friend to all. Her joys were her family, gardening, reading, and serving at the Food Pantry at Reston Bible Church. She will be very missed.

Family and friends are invited to a gathering between 10:00 am and 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 31, at the Colonial Funeral Home, 201 Edwards Ferry Road NE, Leesburg, Virginia 20176 where a memorial service will immediately follow starting at 11 am.

Interment will be at Gates of Heaven Cemetery, Silver Spring, MD.
