Dolores Eileen Dubé, of Winchester, VA, passed away on April 21, 2016. She is preceded in death by her husband Oliver Robert Dubé, her parents Walter Henry and Beatrice Fern Stanford and five brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Dubé was born on May 3, 1931 in St. Louis, Missouri. She lived in many different states and for a period of time after WWII, in Vienna Austria. She spent most of her life living in VA. Mrs. Dubé worked for the United States government and in various retail positions. She spent the last 20 years of her working life as a secretary for the Loudoun County Health Department, in Leesburg, VA.
Mrs. Dubé was an accomplished needleworker and loved to read. She enjoyed camping and traveling with her husband and getting together with friends. She was a member of various Ladies Auxillary groups associated with the fire services where her husband was employed. Most of all, she enjoyed being with her family.
Mrs. Dubé is survived by her five children, Sandra Moore (Robert), Robert Dubé (Susan), Jeanette McGuire (Dale), Dennis Friedlander (Marc) and Jeffrey Dubé (Shari). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Ryan, Adam, Angela, Tiffany, Colleen, Daniel, Kristina, Erin, Jeremy and Travis, and her great-grandchildren, Lilly, Kellen, Teagan, Hayden, Addison, Allie, Kaleb, Eric, Jason, Kendra, Alexis, Wyatt, Canyon Oliver and Neleh.
Family will receive friends between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm on Monday, April 25, 2016 at Colonial Funeral Home, 201 Edwards Ferry Road NE, Leesburg, Virginia 20176. A service will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 starting at 11:00 am at Colonial Funeral Home. Burial to follow the service in Fairfax City Cemetery, 10455 Armstrong Street, Fairfax, Virginia 22030,
