Dolores Beverly McNutt Anderson, of Leesburg Virginia, passed away on October 11th, 2024, at the age of 93. Beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, friend, and sister, Dorie lived a long, loving, inspiring and memorable life, and passed surrounded by those she loved. Affectionately referred to as Super Nana, Dorie was the proud matriarch of the McNutt family, proud military wife, and proud member of the Catholic Church.

Born April 8th, 1931, to parents Christina and Andrew Holeva, Dorie was the eldest of 3 daughters, acting as a role model and caring older sister to Marion Kilburn and Bettie Imus, while growing up in New Kensington, Pennsylvania. At age 22 she married her long time love Donald Lee McNutt, a West Point graduate who later served as colonel in the Army. She and Don moved many times throughout their 46 year marriage. They were loving and devoted parents to their son Alan Lee McNutt. After Don's passing in 1999, she later married longtime family friend and army colonel Ralph Anderson, from 2001 until his death in 2010.

Dorie's careers and talents included early years as a cartographer and later 3 decades as an elementary school teacher. She earned both her Bachelors and Masters degrees, Teacher of the Year award, and the Agnes Meyer Outstanding Teacher Award. She and her husband Don were also owners of an antique shop where they devoted many of their retirement years. Her family remembers her unmatched passion for cooking, deep love of hosting holidays, competitive cards and slots playing, and natural abilities for gardening. Above all, they cherished Dorie's sense of humor, warm heart, determination, and strong faith. She is so dearly missed by all those who loved her.

Dolores was preceded in death by both her parents, her two sisters, and her husbands. She is survived by her son Alan McNutt (Gail McNutt), her grandchildren Joshua McNutt (Lindsey McNutt), Mark Sbani (Andi Sbani), Megan Wilt, and Kelsey McNutt, as well as her great grandchildren Kallen Wilt, Nolan Wilt, Cal McNutt, Charlie McNutt, Madison McNutt, and Juliet McNutt. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews, and great nieces Christy Kilburn, Shelby Carl, Kerry Kilburn, Erin McDaniel, Kelly Kilburn, Kaitlyn Murrill, Megan Loomas, Todd Imus, and Timothy Imus. Dorie was like a sister as well to Janet Hurren and beloved family member of the Juneaus, including Brad, Erin, Cecile, Will, Beau, Katie, and Emma, as well as Chris and Tracy Anderson and their daughters Natalie and Noelle.

She will be laid to rest alongside her late husband Donald at Arlington Cemetery on March 25th, 2025 at 2:45 pm.
