Donald R. Beach, Sr., 77, of Paeonian Springs, VA passed away on January 17, 2013, at Winchester Medical Center. He was a life-long resident of Loudoun County who was born on March 17, 1935, to the late John R. and Dorothy S. Beach.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was an avid sports fan, in particular, the New York Yankees. He was a fullback for the 1954, undefeated, Loudoun County Raider football team.
He retired from VDOT June 1, 2000, after 15 years of service.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Hilda V. Beach; a son, Jeffrey A. Beach (Debbie); his brother John R. (Ronnie) Beach (Laneta); 4 grandchildren, Angela Beach Landon (Wayne), Donald R. "Randy" Beach, III (Amy), Roxanna M. Beach and Tiffany R. Beach; and 3 great grandchildren, Audrey N. Beach, Averi H. Landon and Ashlyn J. Landon.
He was predeceased by a son, Donald R. Beach, Jr.

A viewing will be held Wednesday, January 23 from 6-8 pm at Colonial Funeral Home, Leesburg, VA. Services will be held January 24 at 1 pm at Colonial Funeral Home with Interment to follow at Hillsboro Cemetery, Hillsboro, VA.
