Donald Allen Fannon, Sr. was welcomed by his Lord and Savior into Heaven on February 24, 2024, at the age of 77.  Don was the first of six children born to JD and Pearl Fannon of Banner, VA. He graduated from Coeburn High School in 1966.

Don enlisted in the US Air Force after high school, which allowed him to travel all around the world.  After serving 22.5 years, he retired and returned to Virginia with his family.  He had a wide variety of jobs to support his family.  Most recently, he worked as a technical writer before retiring for a second time.  Don became a Christian the age of 46 and joined Sterling Park Baptist Church in Sterling, VA.  He spent a lot of time learning and growing in his faith.  Don loved Coca-Cola and had quite an extensive collection.  He loved his family, especially his four grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, JD and Pearl Fannon, and his brother, Danny Fannon.   Survived by his wife of 56 years, Gloria Jennifer Fannon; daughter, Heather Browning and Whitney of Leesburg, VA; and son Donald Allen Fannon, Jr. and Acelia of Layton, UT; grandchildren, Zack Fannon, Ryan Fannon, Andrew Browning, and Hannah Browning; brother, Tommy Fannon; sister Sue Tickles; brother Jacky Fannon; sister Kaye Lawson; along with several special nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted on Monday, March 4th, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at the Ketoctin Baptist Church Cemetery in Purcellville, VA with Pastor Brian Shannon of Cornerstone Chapel in Leesburg, VA officiating.  Please visit www.colonialfuneralhome.com register book online.
