Donald Lee Palmer, 78 beloved son, brother, uncle and friend passed into the presence of the LORD on Feburary 23, 2024, hearing his favorite hymns. Donald was born March 4, 1945, in Leesburg, VA.
Donald was born and raised in Loudoun County, spending all his life farming and raising beef cattle along side his father. He was the son of William and Leon (Hutchison) Palmer, and brother of Joann Muncy, uncle of Teresa (Muncy) Cook and Brian Muncy and great uncle to 4 great nephews and 1 great niece. Many other family members lived here in Loudoun County sharing Donald's love of planting and harvesting the crops and raising cattle.
Donald grew up on a farm outside Waterford and attended Waterford Elementary. After graduation from Loudoun County High School in 1963, he completed courses at The Auto Diesel Institute in Nashville so that he might help keep the farm equipment running smoothly. He spent his life farming and loved the land. After retiring, he spent time working on projects around his house, tending to his home garden, listening to lots of preachers on the radio, and reading the Bible.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Colonial Funeral Home of Leesburg, 201 Edwards Ferry Rd., NE., Leesburg, VA. 20176 where a service will begin at 11:00 am. A reception will follow the service at Leesburg Community Church, 835 Lee Ave.., SW
