Donna Campe peacefully joined our Lord after a very valiant close to two year battle with cancer. She will be missed by the same very people she loved very dearly both family and friends. She was born to Betty Lou and Alphonzo Robinson in the District of Columbia.
We met while both working at Toys are Us in Fairfax. Since then we both enjoyed walks and hikes. The mountains, lakes beaches and just nature. She loved bird houses and many of Gods creations.
One of her favorite trips was climbing Sharp top mountain at Peaks of Otter. She also had a love for the arts which included crafting and listening to all sorts of music. She loved raising our Son Neil and together enjoyed many happy family outings. We loved food on both sides of our families. She loved the holidays and decorating our home. After Toys are us she worked for the park service in northern VA and then Aetna Insurance In more recent years she worked as a Personal lines Customer Service Agent at Engle Paxon & Hawthorn insurance agency where she enjoyed just helping people. She has been lucky in knowing so many friends along the way.
While saddened by her passing we know she is at peace and able to see the very light houses she so loved to collect.
She leaves us her Husband John Campe, Son Neil Campe and Jennifer Simpson, her Mother and Father Betty Lou and Alphonzo Robinson, Brother Norman and Debbie Robinson. Sister Karen and Craig Wickman and sister Nancy and Tiffany Robinson. My Sister Parma and Richard Snyder. Nieces Elizabeth Robinson and Renaldo, Paige Wickman, Lori and David McAndrews. Nephew Matthew and Rina Robinson.
We will always remember your gentle giving nature, your beautifull eyes and smile.
A celebration of life will be held Friday, November 21, 2014 at 12:00 PM at Colonial Funeral Home in Leesburg, VA at 201 Edwards Ferry Rd. N.E. followed by burial at Union Cemetery in Leesburg.
