Donnie Reed passed away at his home, in Nokesville, VA, on February 1, 2010. During Donnie's time with us, his love for life touched so many people's lives and left such an impression that those who had the joy to have known him will never forget. His journey took him down many paths that he loved, like the woods he loved to hunt, the streams he loved to fish, the greens he loved to putt and especially the time he spent with loved ones. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, nephew, cousin and friend.

Donald Charles Reed was born in Urbana, Ohio to Deloris Walker Reed and Robert Taylor Reed on April, 30, 1958. He moved to Virginia during his childhood, where he lived throughout the rest of his life. He met his high school sweetheart, Karen and they were married on August 9, 1980. They had two wonderful children, Jenna and Brett. Donnie spent his adult life working construction and started his own business, D.C. Reed Construction Company, Inc. in 1993.

Keeping his memory alive is his wife of 29 years, Karen of Nokesville, VA his daughter, Jenna and her husband, Nic of Woodbridge, VA, his son, Brett of Nokesville,VA, his grandson, Nikias of Woodbridge, VA, his brother, Jerry of Beaverdam, VA, his father and mother in law, Clyde and Nadine Ottinger of Greeneville, TN, many nieces and nephews and the countless friends that he touched throughout his life. Preceeding him in death are his brothers, David and Dani and his parents Deloris Walker Reed and Robert Taylor Reed.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, 4 February from 6-8pm at Baker-Post Funeral Home, Manassas, VA. A service will be held at 11:00am, Friday, 5 February at Old Dominion Baptist Church, 9560 Linton Hall Rd. Bristow, VA 20136. Interment will follow at Stonewall Memory Gardens Cemetery.
