DOROTHIE J. TREDICK

Dorothie Tredick, beloved widow of G. H. Chandler Tredick passed away quietly in her sleep on April 23rd at Spring Arbor in Leesburg, VA. Dorothie was the daughter of Cecelia and Fred Jackson and was born in Philadelphia, PA. She and her husband, Chandler, were very active in St. Francis Parish in Purcellville and she was very active at one time in the Purcellville Garden Club, the Women's Club, Hamilton Book club and other County activities. She lived in Hamilton from 1954 until her husband's death in 1984. She moved back to Leesburg in 1992. She is survived by her daughter Christine Emery of Leesburg and her grandson, Jonathan Emery of Arlington. A time of visitation has been set for Thursday, April 28, 2011 from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. Everyone will follow in procession to the Hillsboro Cemetery in Hillsboro, Virginia where a graveside service will start at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to be made to Blossoms and Blooms Thrift Shop in Leesburg, who's work supports the elderly and children.
