Dorothy McGaha, 79, was called home by the angels on September 12, 2011. She was born May 21, 1932 to Charles and Lillian Hamilton. She retired after 18 years working at Loudoun Hospital.

She is survived by her husband, Willard (Sonny) of Lovettsville, VA whom she was married to for 46 years. The last 12 years of her life was spent at INOVA Loudoun Nursing and Rehab Center. Also surviving are her children Robert Miller of Lovettsville, VA; Mitchell Miller (Mary Jo) of Upperville, VA; Mary Padrta (Jeff) of Mossy Rock, Washington State; Patricia Miller (Mike) of Baltimore, MD; Blaine McGaha (Kim) of Harpers Ferry, WV; David McGaha (Tammy) of Lovettsville, VA; 12 Grandchildren and 12 Great-Grandchildren; also she leaves her sister Shirley Duley of Leesburg, VA; brothers Eddie Hamilton of Martinsburg, WV and Roy Hamilton of Centreville, VA. She was preceded in death by her sisters Kathleen Costello and Virginia Newcomb; brothers Charles Hamilton; Bruce Hamilton; and Kenneth Hamilton. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.

A time of visitation is scheduled for Friday, September 16, 2011 between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. at the Colonial Funeral Home, 201 Edwards Ferry Rd. NE, Leesburg, VA 20176. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 17, 2011 at the Colonial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery, Lovettsville, VA.
