Dorothy C. Salter died at 94 on November 2, 2013 in Leesburg Va. Beloved mother of Patty Zito(Jay) of Ashburn, VA and Mike Salter (Sally) of Edina, MN and grandmother of Lauren and Christopher Hefty and Eric and Rebecca Salter. After being widowed with two very young children, Dorothy moved her family from Milwaukee WI to Baltimore MD where she used her Masters of Library Science degree as a Childrens' Librarian at Enoch Pratt Free Library. She believed very strongly in education and dedicated her life to her children to give them the most love and best education that she could. We could not have asked for a more wonderful mother.

After retirement, she moved to Vero Beach, FL to enjoy the warmth and sunshine. She has lived in Northern Virginia for the last 15 years. Her wonderful smile and loving warmth and great sense of humor will be remembered by so many who have known her through the years and she became a "second" mother to many.
