Dreama Jo Chapman (nee Johnson), age 82, departed this world for heaven on Sunday, November 24, 2019.  Dreama was born April 17, 1937 in Leevale, WV, to the late Ernest and Rena Johnson.

Dreama worked in the federal government in the Washington DC area as a civil servant beginning with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and retiring as a Supervisory Personnel Management Specialist at the National Cancer Institute/ National Institutes of Health.

Dreama loved watching sports, especially football and golf.  Her favorite football team was the Washington Redskins.  She loved to write and volunteered as a Ministry Advancement Coordinator for Titus Women, a ministry of The Francis Asbury Society.  Her favorite days of all were spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; playing, singing and just having fun.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Owen Chapman; three sisters, Opal Smith, Marcella Headley, and Betty Ehman; three brothers, Edgar Johnson, Jack Johnson, and Douglas Johnson.

She is survived by her daughters Diana Jaeger (John Jaeger) and Marcia Aldaghstani (Basil Aldaghstani); her granddaughters Stephanie Smith (Nathan Smith), Jessica Crane (Spencer Crane), Meghan Morgan (Matthew Morgan), Brittney Lannes (Gregory Lannes, Jr); and her great grandchildren Gracelyn, Dakota and Isabella Smith, Dylan and Sadie Crane, Jackson, Mackenzie and Sophia Morgan, and Chapman and Tucker Lannes; brother, James L. Johnson (Ethel Johnson); and sister, Anna Ruble; sister-in law's, Venita Johnson and Hilda Johnson.

Services will be at 12 pm on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Colonial Funeral Home of Leesburg, 210 Edwards Ferry Road, NE, Leesburg, VA.  Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 am until service time Saturday at Colonial Funeral Home.
