Edith Frances Polen

Edith F. Polen, born August 3, 1936 in Washington County, VA passed away at her home on October 9, 2013.

She moved to Loudoun County at a young age with her family and lived almost her entire life in Loudoun County.

She was predeceased in death by her husband Clayton G Polen of over 52 years, as well as her son Allen G Polen, her parents Ray and Maude, her brothers Lester, R.C. Lester, Bob Lester, Eugene Lester and sister Marie Vokle.

She is survived by one son Donald G Polen of Leesburg, grandchildren Adam Polen, Donald Polen II, Christie Polen and Caleb Polen all of Leesburg VA, brothers Jack Lester of Harrisonburg VA, Henry Lester of Waterford VA, and sister Louise Johnson of North Carolina.

Mrs. Polen was a life long member of Mount Hope Church and known to many of the Church as the person who prayed for everyone as well as a Sunday school teacher and member of the choir.

A time of visitation will be held on Monday, October 14, 2013 from 6:00pm till 8:00pm at Colonial Funeral Home, 201 Edwards Ferry Rd NE, Leesburg, VA 20176. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday October 15, 2013 at the funeral home at ll:00am. Interment to be held in the Union Cemetery, Leesburg, VA.
