Edward Pomeroy Staudt Jr., of Leesburg, VA passed away peacefully April 2, 2018 at the age of 66. He was born September 25, 1951 in Malabar, Florida and met his loving wife of 45 years, Rosemary Staudt, at Crossland High School in Camp Springs, Md. He joined the U.S. Navy after high school and retired as a Chief Petty Officer in 1989. He then pursued his passion of working with computers as a systems administrator.

In addition to his wife, he left behind three children Cheryl Staudt, Christine Leicht, Daniel Staudt, his son-in-law Jason Leicht, and daughter-in-law Heather Staudt. He is also survived by five grandchildren Jonathan, Tristan, Samantha, Alex, and Amy, and two siblings, Gigi Knoell and Robert Madden.

Funeral services will be held at 1pm on April 9, 2018 at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in Leesburg, VA, followed by a gathering in the parish hall for friends and family.  In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Smile Train ( www.smiletrain.org ), an organization helping children through building the capacity of local doctors and communities to address cleft palate in a sustainable way.
