Efren Yu Galang passed away on September 10, 2021 at the age of 60 and has joined his wife in heaven. He is survived by his two children Katherine Galang Godwin and Kevin Scott Galang as well as his brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews in the U.S. and the Philippines.

Efren was born on December 14, 1960 in the Philippines to Lolita and Atanacio Galang. He was loved by many and always tried to make everyone laugh even if his jokes were corny. In his early life, he lived in the Philippines with his relatives and they all had many great memories of him when he was with them.

He married Paz Galang on March 18, 1989 in the Philippines and later joined her in the United States in 1995. He had two children who continue to miss him and their mom.

The family will receive friends and family for a viewing and prayer service on Friday, September 17, 2021 from 11AM to 1PM at Colonial Funeral Home in Leesburg, VA. Interment to follow at Union Cemetery.
