Jane was known for doing the impossible and making difficult tasks seem easy. She studied and taught dance throughout her childhood and had a successful career as a professional dancer, performing tap, ballet, jazz, and toe tap ballet.

She graduated high school at 16 and, without applying for admission, enrolled in classes at the University of Houston. By her sophomore year, she had earned a scholarship to play the oboe (an instrument she had never played before) and was leading the marching band while twirling a fire baton as the head majorette. Jane earned a degree in economics from The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. She then worked in market research for Procter & Gamble and taught both first grade and adult education.

Jane was married to Thomas F. Lindsey for over 54 years, and together they built a thriving dental practice, a unique home, and a loving family. Jane was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Together, Jane and Tom worked with many individuals to help them improve their communication and create more authentic relationships.

Jane is survived by her nine children: Sherrill (Sherri) Lindsey Blauer, Melinda Lindsey Poulton, Vondubell (Von) Bucky Lindsey, Hendricks Montgomery Lindsey, Angela Lindsey Worth, Thomas (Tom) Lieth Lindsey, Amelia (Mimi) Jane Bryant, Elizabeth (Liz) Lindsey Weber, and Samuel (Sam) Andrew Lindsey. She is also survived by 30 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, her brother Harvae Hendricks, and six nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on October 12, 2024, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 801 Balls Bluff Road NE, Leesburg, VA 20176. The viewing will start at 9:30 AM, followed by the funeral at 11:00 AM.
