Eleanor Leake Sommerfeld of Sterling, Virginia passed away on November 13, 2011 while residing in Sunrise at Countryside. The daughter of Austin and Mabel (Mitchell) Leake, she was born on November 28, 1918 in River Edge, New Jersey. Mrs. Sommerfeld later married husband Clinton Sommerfeld. She held a career as a secretary with New York Life Insurance Company.

Funeral services for Eleanor Sommerfeld will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 starting at 2:00 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home, 201 Edwards Ferry Road NE, Leesburg, VA 20176. Officiating will be the Reverend Ray Shoaff and the Reverend Mike Minter. Burial will take place on Thursday, November 17, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in Laurel Grove Memorial Park Cemetery, Totowa, New Jersey.
