Elinor C. Hiller was born in New York City on February 15, 1942. She was the devoted wife of Lieutenant Colonel Herbert L. Hiller. As a military spouse, she was a homemaker, volunteered at embassies and army bases, and wrote for military community newsletters. In addition, she was an adjunct professor of writing for several academic institutions.
As a resident of Loudoun County, Elinor was a member of the Waterford Quilters Guild, and she worked at the Farmer's Market in Middleburg. She grew vegetables to donate to Loudoun Hunger Relief and was an avid dog lover. Elinor passed away on June 17, 2021 at the age of 79, due to complications with dementia.
Elinor Hiller is survived by her sister, two daughters, son-in-law, and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Union Cemetery, 323 N King St., Leesburg, VA 20176 at 11:00 on Thursday, June 24, 2021. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Loudoun Hunger Relief or Loudoun County Animal Services .
