Elizabeth Ann "Beth" Howard of Sterling, VA passed away on October 10, 2012. Born in Pennsylvania she was the daughter of proud parents Kathleen (Keller) and Thomas Howard, Jr. Beth graduated from Penn State University holding a degree in Parks and Rec. She worked in the Parks and Rec field most of her life.
Always active, she worked for IOPHA, a company that checks safety in amusement parks. Beth was the director for NCEA in Virginia. She was very active in the Sterling Playmakers; sharing her talents in the making of costumes and acting in productions, the last one being "Hello Dolly". An outgoing person, Beth was known as a person who truly loved people and made many, many, many friends in her lifetime. During her hospital stay the staff would find her welcoming as many as 50 visitors a day; brightening her day with their laughter and singing show tunes. Her dog, Charlie, brought her much joy.
Along with her mother, Kathleen K. Howard and brother, Thomas B. Howard III, Beth leaves many friends to cherish her memories. She was predeceased by her father, Thomas B. Howard, Jr who died in 2011.
Services will be held 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at St. James Episcopal Church, 14 Cornwall Street NW, Leesburg, Virginia 20176-2801. Burial to follow in Union Cemetery, Leesburg, VA.
