Elsi was a bright and sweet young woman that fought for what she loved most and cherished every memory she had with them. Elsi was loved by many because of her kind heart and smiles she provoked on others. Even when she was feeling down, she would make others feel better and being diagnosed with cancer did not stop her from supporting her family. Elsi fought from a terrible illness which she lost the battle to, but she remained positive in hopes of overcoming cancer. Her main motivation during this difficult situation was her children which were her anchor and reason to continue fighting.

Elsi was perceived as a strong and independent woman that above all challenges, she experienced, she continued to fight and persevere. She was an individual that loved nature and at any given time she took advantage of that to take pictures of it to cherish it. Elsi was a strong believer in God and dedicated herself to reconcile with her religion to achieve peace of mind. Elsi may not be physically with us anymore, but she will forever remain in our hearts and watching over us.

One of Elsi Padilla Sorto's last words - I thank God for the family I have been privileged with. Every family member that has taken time out of their day to come see me on my last days has a piece of my heart.
