Enrique E.
Osorio
January 5, 1927 – June 14, 2021
In the early afternoon of June 14th, Enrique E. Osorio, of Ashburn Va. passed away gently and peacefully in his bed at the age of 94. He was born in Santiago Chile on January 5th, 1927, and was the eldest son of Teresa and Enrique Osorio.
He went to The University of Chile and was an accomplished Civil Engineer who was instrumental in constructing many of the buildings in the greater Metropolitan area of Santiago Chile including The Estadio Israelita of Santiago Chile.
Enrique married Heidi Olivares and they had 3 children together. He lived in Chile until 1983 when he moved to the United States to be closer to his children and grandchildren. He settled in the Washington D.C. area and became a U.S. citizen in 2006. He continued to work in construction for many years until he retired when he turned 80 years old.
Enrique was a kind, generous and witty man who loved to laugh. He was well known for his great sense of humor and his ability to always look on the bright side even in the worst situations. He enjoyed swimming, tennis, soccer, jogging, and playing with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Enrique is survived by his 3 children (Marite, Enrique, and Maria Ximena) numerous nieces and nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren
Family, friends, and loved ones will be warmly received on Tuesday, June 22nd, 2021 from 2:30 pm to 4 pm at The Colonial Funeral Home of Leesburg, 201 Edwards Ferry Rd. NE. Leesburg, VA 20176.
