Obituary

Eugenia (Dolly) Cooper passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2017 at Heritage Hall. Dolly was 73 years old and was a longtime resident of Leesburg, Virginia. She is predeceased by her mother Margaret E. Cooper and her father Randolph G. Cooper.   Dolly loved animals of all kinds and was in charge of the bird aviary at Heritage Hall.  Her kindness and gentle spirit touched many lives. She loved meeting new people and experiencing all things beautiful.  Dolly loved the color pink and was known for the lovely pink streak in her hair.  She also loved shopping and took great pleasure in looking her best.  Dolly was an amazing artist as evidenced by her beautiful drawings and painting.  She also liked playing video games and participating in social media.

Dolly was a devoted Catholic and a member of Saint John the Apostle Catholic Church in Leesburg, VA.  Her memory will be honored by several close friends. Although, she didn't have a profession, Dolly had a vocation. She brought kindness, grace, and beauty to everyone's life.

Dolly leaves no family members but she leaves behind a legacy of friends. She wished especially to thank all her caregivers at Heritage Hall for their compassion in her final days.

Calling hours are at Colonial Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 from 4:00 until 5:00 pm.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint John the Apostle Catholic Church,  Leesburg, Virginia on January 11, 2017 at 9:30 am.  Burial will follow in Union Cemetery.
