Evelyn Mae Herring Snooks

Evelyn Mae Snooks, 81, long time resident of Lucketts, Leesburg, Virginia passed away on Saturday, February 12 with her family by her side.

Evelyn was born on August 1, 1940, in Virginia and raised by both her parents Beulah and George Herring, in Great Falls, Virginia. She was a homemaker and enjoyed the outdoors, working in her flower beds, a good meal with friends and most of all the love for her grandchildren and their achievements.

Evelyn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and her life revolved around loving, taking care of, and being a support to her family.

Evelyn is survived by her daughters Lynn Wahl and husband Todd, Lisa Snooks and grandchildren Tyler and Kyle Wahl, Cody and Carlee Cox, brother Lloyd Herring, and predeceased by her sister Patricia Stuart, parents Beulah and George Herring, and the love of her life for 63 years, Richard J. Snooks, III.

A celebration of life will be held Wednesday, February 23,2022, at 201 Edwards Ferry Road, NE, Leesburg, Virginia, at Colonial Funeral Home. The gathering and viewing will be held from 11 to 12PM, the service will start at 12PM and burial following at Union Cemetery.
