Obituary

Frank Louis Yusi, 71, of Leesburg, VA, passed away on June 5, 2014, after losing his battle with Mylmyelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS). Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Frank was a 21 year resident of Leesburg. He spent 26 years in the United States Navy, retiring in 1989 as a Captain and having received 3 purple hearts in Vietnam, a Bronze Star, and the Admiral Stockdale award, among many other awards. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Connie Yusi, his three children and their spouses, Andrew (Alison), Greg (Christine), and Elizabeth (Steven Brinker), and four beloved grandchildren, Conrad, Thomas, Beatrice and Oliver. Frank, or "Papa" as his grandchildren called him, will be missed greatly. As he was in life, he was strong, courageous and had a great sense of humor until the very end.

A viewing will be held on Monday, June 9, 2014, at Colonial Funeral Home, 201 Edwards Ferry Road NE, Leesburg, VA, from 6pm-8pm.

Burial will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
