Franklin A. Thompson "Frank", 87, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2018 in Demorest, GA.  Mr. Thompson was formerly from Leesburg, VA.  He was preceded in death by his wife Blanche.  He is survived by his daughters Anne of Alabama, Jean (Bob) of Inlet Beach, FL, Janet (Carl) of Lula, GA., and Gail (David) of Henrico, VA.   In addition he is survived by 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild as well as many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends on Friday, September 21, 2018 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Colonial Funeral Home of Leesburg, 201 Edwards Ferry Rd, NE, Leesburg, VA  20176 where services will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 10:00 am.  Interment to follow at Union Cemetery, Leesburg, VA.
