George Franklin Burton, departed with tears up to heaven to join his mom and dad and his two brothers, on October 2, 2018 at Winchester Medical Center.

He had a lot of goals in life. And met them all. He was a loving husband and father to my son William Chris Sargent. He was a gift to us for 25 years. He was a strong willed person and gave himself to Jesus when he was baptized in Bluemont Methodist Church. We also were married in Bluemont Methodist Church. We were sweethearts in the early 60's and married 30 years later. He was a faithful son to his mom and dad. Stood by them always till the end. He will be greatly missed by everyone he knew and loved. We have two black and white furry girls, Lucy and Muffin that he loved dearly.

The family will receive friends at Colonial Funeral Home, 201 Edwards ferry Road, NE, Leesburg, Virginia 20176 on Monday, October 8, 2018 from 12 Noon-1:00 PM where funeral services will begin at 1:00 PM. The burial will follow at Union Cemetery in Leesburg.
