Gerald Owen Chapman

April 16, 1931 – June 17, 2019

Gerald Owen Chapman, age 88, passed away peacefully at his home in Lansdowne, VA with his wife and family by his side on Monday, June 17, 2019.  He is survived by his wife, Dreama Chapman; his daughters Diana Jaeger (John Jaeger) and Marcia Aldaghstani (Basil Aldaghstani); his granddaughters Stephanie Smith (Nathan Smith); Jessica Crane (Spencer Crane); Meghan Morgan (Matthew Morgan); Brittney Lannes (Gregory Lannes, Jr); and his great grandchildren Gracelyn, Dakota and Isabella Smith; Dylan and Sadie Crane; Jackson, Mackenzie and Sophia Morgan; and Chapman and Tucker Lannes.

Gerald was born in Mifflin, PA.  He received his undergraduate degree from Asbury College in Wilmore, KY.  He worked in the federal government in the Washington DC area as a civil servant at the National Institute of Mental Health and the Environmental Protection Agency.

A service will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at 11 am at Colonial Funeral Home of Leesburg, 210 Edwards Ferry Road, NE, Leesburg, VA.  Visitation with family will be held on Friday, June 21, 2019 from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm and Saturday, June 22, 2019 from 10:00 am to 10:45 am at the funeral home.  Funeral services will be led by Dr. Allan Coppedge of the Francis Asbury Society, Wilmore, KY.
