Helen Jean (James) Hose, affectionately known as Dood, passed away on August 22, 2024, in Leesburg, Virginia, at the age of 78. Born in Jonesville, Virginia, she was a loving homemaker, devoted to her family and home.

Helen was a loving mother and highly creative individual who took great joy in gardening, arts and crafts, and shopping. She had a particular knack for bartering and cherished the time she spent tending to her husband. Her garden was a place of pride, blooming with flowers that reflected her care and attention. Known for her elegance, she enjoyed dressing up and going out to dinner with her husband, Virgil Hose, who survives her.

She was also a dedicated member of the Purcellville Assembly of God, where she participated actively in the community. Her faith was a significant part of her life, and she found solace and strength in reading her bible daily.

Helen is survived by her husband, Virgil Hose; daughters Tina Heller, Cindy Hose, Susan Jewell; son, Glenn Hose; along with her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother Edith Jane Williams.

The family has entrusted Colonial Funeral Home in Leesburg, Virginia, with the arrangements. Services will be held at the funeral home located at 201 Edward's Ferry Road NE, Leesburg, Va, on August 29, 2024, at 10am.

Helen will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, and loving environment she created for her family. Her legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
