Helen W. Keafer , 74, of Ashburn, Virginia, passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, December 11, 2013. Helen retired from the Secret Service and spent her days active in the Loudoun County women's club and senior center. She is preceded in death by her late husband, Edward James Keafer Sr. She is survived by three children, Edward James Jr, Michelle Maymi, Patrick Keafer; five grandchildren, Ashley, Kaylee, Brandon, Ethan and Caitlin. Also surviving are her sisters Lois Sprinkle, Alice Chaconas and her brothers James Wheatley Jr. and Frank Wheatley. A viewing will be conducted from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Monday, December 16th at Colonial Funeral Home of Leesburg, VA. A graveside service will be conducted at 12:45 PM Tuesday at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Silver Spring, Maryland.
