Helen Frances (Carter) Weatherholtz age 86 of Martinsburg, WV passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Berkley Medical Center, WV.
She was born April 21, 1929 in North Fork, VA in Loudoun County. She was formally of Leesburg, VA. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Welby Carter and Mamie Elizabeth (Payne) Carter, and the wife of the late Roy Noland Weatherholtz, she was a widow for many years.
She graduated from Leesburg High School in 1948.
She loved cats and animals. She was of the Pentecostal faith. She's survived by her daughter Darlene McDavid and Five grandchildren, Shauna Hope Trejo, E. Andrew McDavid, Carolyn D. Weatherholtz, John T. Weatherholtz and Kenneth N. Weatherholtz. Nine great-grandchildren Dylan, Jesse, Jordan and Maricela Trejo, Caleb, Jacob and Aaron Weatherholtz, and Wesley and Maribeth Weatherholtz. One sister Shirley Jean Stevens and two brothers James Otis Carter, Sr.and Robert S. Carter. And many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Roy Noland Weatherholtz, a son Larry Noland Weatherholtz, a brother William Thomas Carter, a son-in-law Elijah M. (Buck) McDavid. Those left to cherish her memories are her daughter and family and friends, as she will be greatly missed.
Pallbearers will be Grandsons and Great-grandsons, E. Andrew McDavid, John T. Weatherholtz, Kenneth N. Weatherholtz and Dylan, Jesse and Jordan Trejo and Bryan M. Courtland.
Family and friends will share many things they knew of her on Sunday, May 17, 2015 between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home, 201 Edwards Ferry Road NE, Leesburg, VA 20176.
Family will receive friends once again between 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 18, 2015 at Colonial Funeral Home where funeral services will immediately follow starting at 1:00 p.m. Burial to follow the services in Hillsboro Cemetery. Pastor Paul Campbell will officiate.
