IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Hope Marie
Vogel George
August 5, 1966 – December 12, 2023
Hope Marie Vogel George went to join her mother (Margaret/Mom) in Heaven on December 12, 2023. She leaves behind a loving wife (Gina George), six siblings (Joel, Faith, Heidi, Heather, Jeffrey and Holly). In addition to her immediate siblings, she also leaves behind a multitude of other family members to include nieces and nephews.
Hope was born on August 5, 1966 (in Hollywood, CA.) and passed on December 12, 2023, in Winchester, VA at the age of 57.
Hope worked in the accounting field, mainly in Accounts Payable and Receivable. Most recently Hope was tracked to start a new job with Apple Valley Waste in Kearneysville, WV managing their Accounts Payable department.
Hope enjoyed cooking, watching the food network and, most recently, looking at any coin she could locate in an attempt to find rare ones or imperfections; but most of all, she enjoyed spending as much time as she could with her nephew ("LJ"). LJ was her world and she loved him so very much.
Hope's sense of humor and laughter was so infectious and contagious one couldn't help but laugh at her jokes. Despite the hardships Hope endured throughout her life, she never gave up, never let herself be defeated. When she loved someone, she loved them unconditionally and with all her heart, energy and soul. She was an avid defender of her family and friends and the absolute best friend anyone could ask for.
Hope was the kind of person who would spend an hour and a half on the phone with her brother while he drove to/from work just so he wasn't bored on the drive. She would give you the shirt off her back and the last dollar in her pocket. She loved feeding the squirrels at her house, watching them nibble at the crackers and cheese balls she had placed outside for them…this brought her great peace and joy. She was patiently waiting for one of them to finally trust her enough to eat out of her hand…despite being so very close (they would come onto the deck but then wait for her to drop the food at her feet) she never was able to get them to eat directly out of her hand.
Hope will be deeply missed by one and all. While it is understandable to mourn and grieve, we would invite those who know and love Hope to move forward by remembering her at her best, laugh at your memories with her, talk to her often and celebrate her life with love and joy in your heart.
Hope always said she wanted people to laugh and take Joy in knowing her (at her funeral) rather than cry with sadness in their heart. With that said, we invite you to celebrate and remember Hope in your own special way and remember the good times, not dwell on the bad times and laugh with joy in your heart. As for her family, we will celebrate Hope's life together, each and every day. We will remember her, love her and miss her until we see her again.
Hopie Dude, you are missed so very much, more than we ever thought possible. We will keep you in our hearts for the rest of our lives. Go rest sweet sister, your spirit is free now and your pain is gone. Be with our mother in Heaven and watch over us. We love you with all our heart. Thank you for gracing us with your friendship and love for as long as you did, our lives would have been incomplete without you having been in our lives and we are so much better off for having been loved by you. Until we see you again Hope, Rest in Peace.
