Obituary
Ilana "Abby" Wolfe, of Paeonian Springs, Virginia, was only 36 years old when she was taken suddenly in a tragic one-vehicle accident on May 22, 2016 near Sebastopol, California.
Born Ilana Pendergrass on February 8th, 1980 in Stoneham, Massachusetts, to Timothy Jay Pendergrass and Ruth Lewis Pendergrass, Abby was the oldest of seven children. In June of 1999, she was married to Jason Wolfe of Fairfax, Virginia. Abby, Jason, and their four children moved to Northern Virginia in 2009, eventually settling into a beautiful home in Paeonian Springs near Waterford, Virginia. A full time homemaker and successful small business entrepreneur, Abby earned her GED, received her Associate degree from Lord Fairfax Community College and was continuing studies in business and marketing at George Mason University at the time of her death.
Abby is survived by her husband Jason, her four children Amatz, Qashara, Ezrith, and Caleb, her parents Tim and Ruth Pendergrass of Asheville, NC, and her sister and five brothers. She also leaves behind a large extended family and a multitude of friends whose lives she touched in so many memorable ways.
Abby Wolfe will be remembered by all as a strongly devoted, loving, and supportive mother to her children, and as a motivated young woman determined to succeed in life. To family and friends alike, Abby was a beautiful soul who, for the brief time she was here, showed what it means to care without question, to love unconditionally, and to live life to it's fullest.
Friends may call at the Colonial Funeral Home, 201 Edwards Ferry Road NE, Leesburg, Virginia 20176, between 10 o'clock AM and 12 o'clock noon on Saturday, June 4th. A memorial service at 12:00 o'clock noon will be followed by burial at 1:00 o'clock PM at Ebenezer Cemetery, 20421 Airmont Road, Bluemont, VA 20135.
The family will host a reception at their home on Sunday, June 5th, from 12:00 o'clock noon until 3:00 o'clock PM to honor and celebrate Abby's life, and to reflect on and share the joy and comfort she brought to so many during the too-short time she was among us.
