In Soon "Tina" Paek passed away on Sunday, October 19 at her home in Reston, VA. She was born on October 2nd, 1960 in South Korea, the eldest daughter of Sang Hyun Paek and Chang Sun Yang (deceased).

She is survived by; daughter Lida T. Vail and husband Andrew Vail, son Joseph A. Tabatabaian, and loving granddaughter Anya S. Vail. She is also survived by her mother Chin Hi Paek, brother Yun Sang and wife Sandra Kim, brother Seung Doo Paek, sister Hee Jung and husband Kyu Dae Lee, sister Eun Paek, brother Seung Ho and wife Bo Kyung Paek, nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends close and far.

Though she lived a short 54 years, she had a profound impact on so many lives across the globe. Her genuine love for those around her will never be forgotten. Tina was a loving mother and grandmother. Everybody knew her for all of her famous cooking and love for gardening and her dog Mimi.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Tina's life by gathering between 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at the Colonial Funeral Home, 201 Edwards Ferry Rd NE, Leesburg, VA 20176 where a funeral service will immediately follow starting at 1:00 pm. A graveside service is scheduled for 12:00 pm on Monday, October 27, 2014 in Union Cemetery, Leesburg, Virginia.
