Ingeborg Hobus Spiga (Age 90)

On May 22nd, 2014 in Leesburg, VA our beloved mother, aunt, grandmother, cousin passed away. She is survived by her daughter Cindy Hobus (John Fringer) of Reston, VA and her son Ralph Spiga, (Kathleen Philbin) of Moorestown, NJ; grandsons Lowell Spiga and Ethan Spiga of Montgomery, AL; Cousins Helga Lanjouw (Annette, Peter, Steven) and Ulla Taube (Erica) of France; many close friends the Parfitts of Virginia; the Leighty's of Virginia; the Floods of California. Ingeborg Spiga was born in Duisburg-Hamborn Germany and came to the US upon marrying. Ingeborg and children enjoyed many overseas tours of duty in England; Germany; and Tripoli coming to Virginia as her final residence. Ingeborg was loving and giving mother and friend; full of fun and enjoyed tennis, bowling, roller-skating, knitting, traveling, sewing, needlepoint, gardening and cooking delicious German meals. She endured many hardships with courage and dignity. Ingeborg was a comfort to all who knew her. She will be missed; her sense of humor and love will live on within all she knew.

Private Services will be held at the Colonial Funeral Home in Leesburg, VA. Inge's charities were Alzheimer's Association; Susan Komen Breast Cancer Research; or any animal protection charity.
