Jacqueline R. Meeks passed away at home on Saturday, July 20, 2019.  Mom was born on April 23, 1943 and grew up in San Francisco, CA with her sister.  Mom was married for over 35 years and raised two sons.  She loved to travel, read, and write.  She worked as a College Professor, Accountant, Legal Secretary, Real Estate Agent, Secretary, Volunteer EMT, and most importantly Homemaker.  From George Mason University - she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting, and Masters Degrees in Creative Writing and English.  Mom loved baseball – first the San Francisco Giants – then watching Dave and I play growing up – and finally the Washington Nationals.  She found true friends in the Dorothy Dunnett group that she loved.  Mom was pre-deceased by my brother Dave who passed away in 2001.  She is survived by me, her sister, two nieces, and her five grand-children.  She was much loved and is already missed.

Family will receive friends on Monday, August 12, 2019 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Colonial Funeral Home of Leesburg, 201 Edwards Ferry Rd., NE, Leesburg, VA  20176.  A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at 11:00 am at St. James Episcopal Church, Leesburg, VA. Interment to follow at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens, Timonium, Maryland.
