James A. Wright, Jr. "Sonny" passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at INOVA Fairfax Hospital.  Sonny was born the son of the late James A. Wright, Sr. and Lillie K. Wright of Hillsboro, VA.

Sonny is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Inez V. Buttery of Leesburg, VA.

Children:  James F. Wright (Tammy) of Winchester, VA., and daughter Kelly A. Wright of Leesburg, VA.

Grandchildren:  Samantha M. Browning (Nathan) of Partlow, VA; Michael W. Elsea of Leesburg, VA; Kyle A. and Trevor T. Wright of Winchester, Virginia and granddaughter Alysia M. Wright of Leesburg and great-grandchildren:  Kaden Wayne Elsea, Skylar Maria Cruz, Liam S. Browning and Tegan M. Browning of Partlow, VA.

Brother:  Roger (Sandy) of Purcellville, VA and sister Cathy Rinker of Berryville, VA; brother in law Frank Buttery, Jr. (Debbie) of Leesburg, VA. and several nieces and nephews.

Sonny was preceded in death by this daughter Lisa L. Wright and brothers Douglas and William Wright.

Pallbearers will be grandsons:  Michael Elsea, Kyle Wright, Trevor Wright, Nathaniel Browning and nephews Benjamin Woodward and Kevin Wright.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Colonial Funeral Home of Leesburg, 201 Edwards Ferry Rd.,NE., Leesburg, VA  20176 where services will begin at 11:00 am  with Pastor Barney Schwanke officiating.  Interment will follow at Union Cemetery.
