James Douglas Adams was born on November 19, 1973 to Kenneth Adams and Beatrice Adams Davis. He is survived by two older siblings, Kenneth Adams (AKA "Kenny Babe") and Tina Adams Haggens, and a younger sibling, Rhonda Michelle Adams. James had many nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. James enjoyed family reunions and his favorite advice to his nephews and nieces was to "always cherish what you have, thank the Lord for what you have, and keep what you have close to your heart and hold tight to your memories." On the profession of his faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, James was baptized on July 17, 1994 by the Late Rev. Dr. Ronald Winters, Pastor Emeritus of Resurrection Baptist Church. James served as an usher at Resurrection Baptist Church during his earlier years and greeted every one with a "big smile" and "gentile Spirit." The Joy of the Lord was his strength. James had a big heart for everybody, and he spread that smile to everyone and was willing to help everybody.

James (affectionately known as "BOO BOO") was a native of Vienna, VA and later moved to Leesburg, VA, where he was employed by Home Depot. James was always very neat, clean, organized, and on time for work. He loved his special time with his job coach and friend, Gregg Conrow, and they loved to eat out and eat cheeseburgers after work. James was a very hard hard worker and loved every bit of his time at Home Depot. His mom helped him manage his finances and he always made sure that she gave him his "bling bling" or money every Tuesday.

Some of James' hobbies included Special Olympics in basketball and Smack Down Wrestling. He loved comic books and collecting toy figurines. James loved going shopping in the Mall at some of his favorite places, " Best Buy", "$5 and Below," and "Bed, Bath and Beyond." James enjoyed watching his "Nickelodeon" TV channels and one of his passions was teaching himself how to read. The "JOY OF THE LORD" was truly his strength and now he rests in peace in the loving arms of the Lord who created him. REST IN PEACE "BOO BOO!!!" WE LOVED YOU, BUT GOD LOVED YOU BEST!!!

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 7, 2020 at 11:00 am at Colonial Funeral Home of Leesburg, 201 Edwards Ferry Rd.,NE., Leesburg, VA  20176.

DAWN OF MORNING'S QUIET SLEEP

FOR BOO - BOO

DAYS SWEETEST MORNINGS ARE AT DAWN.

REFRESHED BY HIS LONG NIGHT SLEEP.

TO AWAKE IN THE ARMS OF JESUS, WHERE THERE IS NO SICKNESS BUT PEACE.

IF YOU COULD SEE ME NOW, YOU WOULDN'T SHED A TEAR.
THOUGH YOU MAY NOT UNDERSTAND WHY I'M NO LONGER HERE.
REMEMBER MY SPIRIT, THAT'S THE REAL ME.
I'M STILL VERY MUCH ALIVE, OH IF YOU COULD ONLY SEE!

GOD SAW YOU GETTING TIRED, AND A CURE WAS NOT TO BE.

SO, HE PUT HIS ARMS AROUND YOU AND WHISPERED, LET HIM COME TO ME.

I'D LIKE THE MEMORY OF ME TO BE HAPPY, WITH SMILES, TIMES OF LAUGHTER, AND BRIGHT SUNNY DAYS.  OUR HEARTS IN LASTING LOVE, NOT IN SORROW AND PAIN.

ALLOW JESUS TO BE YOUR GUIDE, HIS WORD WILL SHOW YOU THE WAY.
I KNOW YOU MUST GRIEVE NOW, BUT PLEASE REMEMBER, WE WILL MEET AGAIN SOME DAY!

BUT LOOK TO JESUS, HE WILL GIVE YOU PEACE.  FOR I AM WITH HIM, IN DAWN OF MORNING'S QUIET SLEEP.
