World War II Veteran James Warren Bundy, 91, passed away on March 30, 2009. Mr. Bundy held the occupation of Chief Warrant Officer #3 in the United States Army. During his time serving his country, Mr. Bundy received such honors as the Good Conduct Medal; the American Defense Service Medal; American Theater; Bronze Star Medal; Army of Occupation Medal; WWII Victory Medal; Korean Service Medal; National Defense Service Medal and the UN Service Medal.
Mr. Bundy and his wife, Virginia, lived in Clearwater, Florida. He was born in Belfast Mills, Virginia on April 21, 1917 to Arch and Katherine (Dotson) Bundy.
Along with his wife, Virginia, his son, Bill, is also left to treasure his memories. Mr. Bundy was predeceased by his first wife, Marion C. Bundy and parents Arch and Katherine Bundy.
Family and Friends are invited to share his memories on Tuesday, April 21, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home, 201 Edwards Ferry Rd. NE, Leesburg, VA 20176. A service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 starting at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Arlington National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m.
