IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James Ernest
Eddy Jr.
February 15, 1940 – May 23, 2023
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our husband, father and Granddaddy James E. Eddy Jr., 83, of Midlothian, Virginia on May 23rd, 2023. Jim was born on February 15, 1940 and grew up in Alexandria, Virginia and Silver Spring, Maryland where he graduated from Wheaton High School. He went on to attend the University of Maryland, where he played football and joined Sigma Nu fraternity. Jim was an avid car and boat enthusiast. He could fix or rebuild almost anything. He knew almost every Jimmy Buffett song, as well as anything by The Beach Boys. Music and playing the guitar were hobbies for Jim. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends and he was always the biggest fan at any event for one of his children or grandchildren. We will miss him every single day.
He is predeceased by his father, James E. Eddy, Sr., his mother, Juanita Jacobs and his sister, Donna Adams. Jim is lovingly remembered by his wife of 52 years, Cherie Eddy, his children Mary Beth Lenertz (Greg) and Mark Eddy (Chelsea). Jim's pride and joy was spending time with his six grandchildren: McKenna, Brooke, Allie, Jenson, Collins and Emmie.
