James Robert Reaves Sr. (age76)

Died in his home surrounded by family on July 20 ^th , 2019. James (or Jim) was born in Washington, DC and raised in Hyattsville, MD. He graduated from Northwestern High School in 1961 and married his Junior High/High School sweetheart in December of the same year. James was predeceased by his parents Robert E. Reaves and Leola Reaves, his loving wife, Mary Suzanne Reaves and his loving son, John William Reaves. He is survived by his daughter, Jenifer(Rob) L. Spencer, Granddaughters Erin M. Reaves and Holly L. Reaves. He is also survived by his sister Sharon Krohn, brother David(Mary) P. Reaves, daughter-in-law Lisa(Tracy) Howard Beachum,  brother-in-law George(Judy) L. Summers and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. James was a sociable person (no one was a stranger to him) and he was always joking around with everyone. He loved children and made regular donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. He was an amazing baker with his specialty being cheesecake, but he was also an excellent cook and just like his mother he enjoyed seeing other people enjoy his food and delicious baked goods. He was a wine connoisseur and enjoyed sipping various spirits with family and friends.
