James Turner Bayly was born March 17, 1961, and passed on Sunday, March 16, 2025.  James, who was known as Jim to his family and Beetle to his friends, was born in Loudoun Memorial Hospital and grew up in Waterford, Virginia.

Jim attended Loudoun Valley High School and Virginia Tech before starting his career with Virginia Power, which became Dominion Energy.  After retiring from Dominion Energy he taught Linemen Safety at Blue Ridge Technical College.

Jim married Betty Ann Fuller Bayly in September of 2009.  They resided in Leesburg, Virginia.  He was a member of the Leesburg Moose Lodge.  Jim enjoyed playing golf and making other laugh, as well as spending quality time with his family and friends.  In his younger years, Jim enjoyed playing tennis.

Jim was predeceased by his parents, Rozier C. Bayly and Edith J. Bayly.  He is survived by his wife, Betty A. Bayly of Leesburg Virginia, brother Carter Bayly and wife Cindy of St. Augustine Florida and brother Thomas Bayly of Richmond Virginia.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, April 5, 2025, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Colonial Funeral Home of Leesburg, 201 Edwards Ferry Rd. NE, Leesburg, Virginia 20176 where a service will begin at 12:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Virginia German Shepherd Rescue Organization or Loudoun Volunteer Rescue.

Jim will surely be missed by all his family and friends who were so dear to him.

A reception will be held immediately following the service at the Leesburg Moose Lodge 1041, 43 Catoctin Circle, SE., Leesburg, VA.
