IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James Joseph
Wolfe, Jr.
October 7, 1965 – May 2, 2025
James Joseph Wolfe, Jr., 59, of Sterling, VA, passed away on May 2, 2025. Born in Baltimore, MD, on October 7, 1965, Jim was the beloved son of the late James Wolfe, Sr. and Louise Wolfe.
A devoted father, Poppy, brother, and friend; Jim was known for his boundless warmth, his gift for conversation, and his ability to make others feel instantly at ease. Whether chatting with a stranger like they were an old friend or offering support to those he cared about, Jim brought comfort and connection to everyone he met. Jim graduated from Andover High School in Linthicum, MD, playing lacrosse and moving into softball in later years (#15). He spent his career working in the IT field for government contractors, a path that allowed him to travel across the country and abroad.
His greatest joy was his family. He was a proud and loving father to his four children: Heather Wolfe Beardsley and her husband David Beardsley, Peyton Wolfe, David Luke Wolfe, and James Maximus Wolfe. He delighted in their accomplishments and cherished watching them grow. He was a large presence at many cheerleading events, softball, and hockey games for his children and grandchildren. His legacy continues through his three granddaughters: Kylie Holton, Harper Beardsley, and Madison Beardsley, each of whom brought him immense pride and happiness. He is survived by his sister, Peggy Kidwell and brother-in-law, Tom Kidwell; brother, Robert Wolfe and sister-in-law, Keisha Wolfe; nieces and nephews, Noah Kidwell, Ainsley Kidwell, Lilly Ann Wolfe, and Macon Wolfe. He was preceded in death by his parents.
