"Jane M. Kratz passed away unexpectedly Monday evening, April 1st, at Alexandria Hospital. Jane was 91 years old. Born in Wallingford, CT and raised in the Bay Ridge area of Brooklyn, New York, Jane married the late Francis E. Kratz, and after traveling extensively with the military they settled down to make their home in Springfield, VA. Jane worked for Fairfax County Schools until her retirement, and spent her later years as a vibrant resident of The Hermitage of Alexandria. Jane is survived by her four children; Eugene, Barbara, Margaret, and Theresa, and her four grandchildren; Cyril, Julia, Michael and Timothy. She will be buried in Arlington National Cemetery at a date and time to be announced.

Jane's greatest joy was being with her family, and she was loved by all who knew her. She will be dearly missed, and our memories of her will always be cherished."
