Jean Philomena Romero, 83, of Leesburg, Virginia passed away on May 20, 2020 at Heritage Hall Nursing Home.  She was born on August 2, 1936 in Tawnylea, Ireland to the late Frank McGinley and Mary (O'Brien) McGinley.

Jean was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Francisco Romero; brothers Frank McGinley, John McGinley, Harry McGinley; sisters Nancy McGinley, Patricia Groh, Bernadette Adcock, Margaret Sciborksi and Susan McGinley.  She is survived by her daughter Susan Linhart, and her husband Steven, as well as her granddaughter, Sarah.  She is also survived by one sister, Florence Wallace of Washington State, as well as many nieces and nephews

Jean enjoyed watching her favorite football team, the Washington Redskins, knitting, and playing bingo.  She was known by her friends as giving the best hugs, and always having a smile on her face. She was devoted to her family, and faith.

The family plans to hold a private Mass at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church on June 3, 2020.  She will subsequently be inurned privately at Arlington National Cemetery.
