Our beautiful Jillian passed away in the early morning hours of October 28. She died on her own terms, at home and with her family at her side. Always strong and not one to dwell on what could have been, she expressed gratitude for finding so much happiness during her life. Jillian fought breast cancer with unflinching bravery for six years and refused to be defined by this disease. She was born and raised in Roseland, New Jersey. She attended American University in Washington DC for her undergraduate and MBA degrees. Jillian settled in Northern Virginia and rose to the highest level of print advertising sales with Verizon. She left Verizon, after twelve years, to become a full-time mom. Jillian enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved traveling, swing dancing, outings with the family, eating crabs at the DC fish market, spending time with friends, running, cooking, and trying new restaurants. Jillian is survived by her husband, Enrique, sons Jake and Dustin, her parents, Robert and Lynn Kerner, and her brother Todd. There will be a celebration of Jillian's life on Monday, November 5th with a gathering starting at 10:00 am at the Colonial Funeral Home, 201 Edwards Ferry Road, NE, Leesburg, VA. 20176, the service will begin at 11:00 am.
