Obituary

A very special person, Jimmy H. Albro, passed away on March 23, 2013. Seventy – eight years young, Jimmy was born in Walla Walla, Washington on February 22, 1935 to James and Marcella (Case) Albro.

Jimmy was the beloved husband of Carol Albro and a loving father of his children Michelle Sager, Andrea McMahon, Christine Kerns and stepchildren Robert Hall, Angel Grant, Carole Ann Jesinsky and Joan Ferguson. A most loved grandfather of 16 grandchildren.

As well as other positions, he was a computer security specialist with Electronic Data Systems. Among all of his accomplishments, he was most proud of the time of service he provided to his country, fighting during the Viet Nam war during his stay in the U.S. Navy. Lt. Commander, he earned many ribbons, commendations and metals including the Bronze Star, and Meritorious Service Medal. Never one to be idle, Jimmy had many hobbies which included woodcarving and sharing stained glass projects with his wife. He was quite a history buff, always gaining knowledge from the numerous books he read; over 500 on the different types of religion. His most loved times were the ones spent making memories playing with the grandchildren. Jimmy adored taking evening walks on the beach with his wife Carol. A world traveler, he felt at home in Ireland; teasingly telling his family of his Irish decent.

Family and friends are invited to visit and share his memories on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 between the hours of 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm where prayers will be said at 7:00 pm at Colonial Funeral Home, 201 Edwards Ferry Rd NE, Leesburg, Virginia 20176.

A devoted Catholic, his life will be celebrated with a Catholic Mass and burial with full military honors in the Memorial Chapel in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia on July 11, 2013 starting at 10:45 a.m.

Jimmy will be dearly missed, but his memories will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
