Joanna Grace Leppa 68, passed away on January 11, 2009. At the time of her death, she and her husband were living in Ashburn, Virginia.

Mrs. Leppa, an only child, was born to the late Edward A. and Anna Grace (McGerigal) Duggan on October 24, 1940 in Waltham, Massachusetts.

Through her love for gardening, many were touched as they walked through her yard on Cape Cod taking in the sight of the gorgeous hydrangeas.

She was a lovely lady with a wonderful sense of humor; drawing family and friends in to enjoy her delicious pies, funny stories and her love of The Cape.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband of 44 years, Larry Leppa and children, Curtis Leppa and wife Valerie of Yorktown, Virginia and Cristy Leppa of Ashburn, Virginia along with grandchildren Justin, Mason and Sydney Leppa.

A gathering to honor her memory will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2009 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home, 201 Edwards Ferry Road, NE, Leesburg, Virginia.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the Allen Harbor Yacht Club in June. Date TBA.
