John Frederick Anderson, 61, of Sterling, VA passed away on June 24, 2010. Born in Ravenswood, West Virginia, he was the son of Frederick Charles and Virginia (Knapp) Anderson. Mr. Anderson was a contractor for the US Government. He leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife, Rosemarie Anderson; children James and Bridget Marie Anderson; a sister, Mary Jane McClellan of Virginia Beach; a brother, Vernon Knapp of Seattle, Washington and two grandchildren, Cortland Blain and Sofia Reese Anderson. Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday, June 27, 2010 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Colonial Funeral Home, 201 Edwards Ferry Rd. NE, Leesburg, VA 20176. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Ravenswood Cemetery in Ravenswood, WV.
