Obituary
Loving husband and father, John Curtis "Curt" Sieber, 49, passed away on April 3, 2009. He lived with his wife, Pamela, at their home in Leesburg, Virginia. Mr. Sieber was born in Germany on
August 9, 1959 to parents John Andrew Sieber and Edna Louise (Halsey) Sieber.
Proving himself to be a loyal and reliable employee in the landscaping field, Mr. Sieber held a job with Meadows Farms Nursery for thirty-three years. At the time of his death he held the position of Landscape Manager. He was devoted to his community in his service with the Sterling Volunteer Fire Department, Company # 11 since 1982. Mr. Sieber was of the Lutheran faith and an active member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Leesburg, Virginia.
Along with his wife, Pamela Jean Sieber, Mr. Sieber is dearly loved and missed by his children Lisa Sieber of Front Royal, Va.; Carrie Sieber of Yorktown, Va.; Kristi Sieber, Emma Sieber and Curtis Sieber of Leesburg, Va. and grandchildren Jacob, Richard and Grant. Also left behind to cherish his memories are his father John Sieber, mother Edna Sieber, stepmother Kim Sieber, grandmother Elva Lea Kingsford, step-grandmother Dorothy Halsey, brothers Jay Sieber of Fredericksburg, Va. and Kenny Sieber of Middletown, VA., sister Krissy Holmberg of Kinsale, Va. and step brothers Jon Long of Warrenton, Va. and Mike Long of New York, New York. Mr. Sieber is also survived by many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
In his honor family and friends are invited to Colonial Funeral Home at 201 Edwards Ferry Road, NE, Leesburg, Virginia 20176 on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A service will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2009 starting at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church 605 W Market St. Leesburg, Virginia 20175 with the Pastor Prinz officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be sent to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of America, National Capital Area Chapter, 5845 Richmond Highway S-630, Alexandria, Virginia 22303; Sterling Volunteer Fire Department, 46700 Middlefield Drive, Sterling, Virginia 20164; or Holy Trinity Building Fund, 605 W. Market St., Leesburg, Virginia 20175.
