John (Jack) Morgan Doyle of Sterling, Virginia died of natural causes on December 4, 2019 at 97.  A long time resident of Loudoun County Jack moved with his family to Leesburg in 1965 and then to Sterling in 1966. He was born in Silver City, New Mexico on March 6, 1922 to Thomas Joseph Doyle of Carrick on Suir, Ireland and Floy Morgan of Dewitt, Iowa.  A WWII veteran, he enlisted at nineteen under a special reserve program set up by the military Signal Corps to enlist communication technical skills obtained through employment at AT&T. After serving in the Pacific he returned to employment at AT&T after the war. He retired from AT&T on September 1, 1982.

Jack married Bette Jean Shaffer in Iowa City, Iowa on March 18, 1950, and is survived by his two children and grandchild:  Michael Doyle, Debra Doyle Earhart and Jessica Morgan Earhart.   Funeral arrangements will be held on January 6, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at the Colonial Funeral Home, 201 Edwards Ferry Road, NE, Leesburg, VA 20176.
